Brooklyn Bridge Adventure

Our NO SCHOOL Mondays have become our mommy/daughter adventure days.

Mommy hadn't walked over the Brooklyn Bridge in years. And well, Aiyana and I are kind of obsessed with the Brooklyn Bridge. Whether seeing it in the horizon, driving over it, reading about it in a book, or seeing a graphic on a t-shirt, Aiyana and I always notice and point out the iconic arches. Aiyana chants "I wanna see the Brooklyn Bridge. I wanna see the Brooklyn Bridge" every time she gets strapped into her car seat.

So when we got lucky with a 70 degree Fall day, Mommy packed up the stroller for a long walk over the bridge. That's 1.8 miles to the bridge, 1.2 miles over the bridge and to City Hall, and another .5 miles past Daddy's office (to say hello!) and to a playground near South Street Seaport.

Oh, and then back again. All while pushing a packed double stroller, chasing two little girls, and dodging speeding cyclists. And people always ask Mommy how she stays fit.

It was a beautiful day, and well worth the long haul. We picked up Ollie, his Mama and sister along the way and had a blast exploring the Brooklyn Bridge, the sculptures at City Hall, and a toddler playground near the Seaport.

Mommy, where will our adventures take us next?

Love and an affair with the Brooklyn Bridge,
