Mommy Moments

Mommy says Mother's Day is just a another excuse to spend quality time with her girls. This past weekend in Virginia was full of quality family time and priceless moments with Mommy. Happy Mother's Day to all the awesome Moms out there!

Spring Things

In case you didn't already know, I LOVE to be outside. I think you've already heard the stories about how I put on my shoes and jacket and cry at the door until someone lets me out (Yes, it's just as sad as it sounds, which is why I almost always get my way.)

But Spring is in full swing, and we've been outside a lot more, which makes for one very happy little toddler.

Here are just some of my favorite Springtime things:

1. Outdoor snacks

2. Picnic blanket naps (at least one of us is napping)

3. Hand holding

4. Kite flying 

5. Frisbee throwing

6. Sour lemonade

6. Watermelon, watermelon, and more watermelon

7. Sunglasses and sunhats

Field Trips and Prairie Dogs

Tiny Human Academy went on a field trip to the Prospect Park Zoo last week. Mommy wasn't planning to come along, but I asked her very sweetly if she and Aiyana could join us because we needed extra hands, and well, how could Mommy say no to that? All in all we were six preschoolers, two toddlers, and five adults, which made for lots of much-needed extra hands. (Which came in handy when it was lunchtime, we were hungry and tired, and we had to wait more than thirty minutes for the bus home.)

We all did a really great job of staying together while walking around and crossing streets.

 We sat quietly on the bus and all pulled the rope for our stop.

We sat nicely while enjoying our snack.

And as tired as we were, we sat very patiently waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the bus to take us back home.

Oh yeah. And in between all that we had an awesome time watching and feeding the animals.

Grow Plants, Grow

It's windy and Aiyana wishes she had a hood.

We have three watering cans, yet I still prefer the Neti Pot.

Aiyana needs to work on her technique.

Pier 6

We've been having some beautiful spring weather here in Brooklyn, so Mommy has been able to cross some things off her springtime TO DO list. Like Pier 6 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. It's a bit of a trek to the end of Atlantic Avenue, but well worth it for the huge sand box, steep slide, and geodesic sphere (Daddy's word, not mine.) We were here back in the Fall, but I guess I don't remember. Besides, I'm 3 now. If I were here when I was 2, I was probably going on the baby swings and baby slides.
