One Cup, Two Cup

I met up with two of my friends at the Pier 6 water park right at the end of my street. I napped in my stroller for awhile, and by the time I woke up, my friends were both ready to leave. So instead of playing with my two friends, I played with my two cups.

I entertained myself so well, that Mommy actually got to sit for a minute and soak up a little sun. I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time here this summer.

Hey, I can see my chubby feet!
And look, I found a cup!
This could keep me busy for hours.
Especially now that I have two cups!
Fill them up.
Pour them out.
Fill them up.
Pour them out.
Rest.
And fill them up again.

Faux-hawk

Rockin' the faux-hawk in the bath tub, thanks to Daddy's sharp hairstyling skills.

Say No To Straws

If Mommy and Daddy ever offer you a straw at our house, say NO! I think they've all been in my mouth by now. And you'd think I didn't have a single toy, since I'm playing with straws and the silverware thingy from the dishwasher. Creative play, I guess.

Hands Full

I seem to always insist on carrying a heavy load, even at The Little Gym. It makes climbing on balance beams, stairs, and parallel bars particularly difficult. But then I guess I have always been up for a challenge. And in case you're wondering why all of these pictures are blurry, it's because I don't like to sit still, not even for a second.

Salty and Tangy

I sure do love potato chips, especially salt and vinegar. It drives Mommy crazy. Not only because they're not good for me, but also because it means less for her!

Lunch With Daddy Has Never Been So Fun

Last summer, when I was really tiny, Mommy and I would meet Daddy for lunch over by the World Financial Center. It's a great spot, right on the water, with a boardwalk extending all the way down the lower West side of Manhattan. Mommy said she couldn't wait until I was a bit older, so we could meet Daddy for lunch, and then stroll together along the river. So that's what we did. It had all the elements of a perfect afternoon.

Speedy Recovery

Does this look like the face of a baby that had a fever for three days, followed by a nasty rash? The virus worked it's way through my system and I am almost as good as new (except now I have two more teeth coming in, so I'm still kinda wearing my cranky pants.) But at least I'm sleeping through the night again, and playing and smiling. And Mommy says the sparkle is back in my eye, although you probably can't see it behind the sunglasses.

Thanks for all of the get well wishes this week. I feel much, much better now!

More From Memorial Day

Last weekend seems like so long ago. Especially since the past few days have been particularly long and uncomfortable--I've been fighting a virus, fever, and now rash. But here are more pics from my (non-sick) family weekend upstate. Nona and Poppy came from VA to spend time with me and my great grandparents.

Good times at the zoo, in the yard, and with family.

Thanks for hosting us Nonney and Papa. And happy 83rd birthday Nonney. I love you!
