Baby Got Bling

I had my six month appointment today, and I have lots to report. I'm 26.5" tall, which is in the 60th percentile. (Very surprising, considering I come from two parents who are below average in height.) I weighed in at 15 lbs, 8 oz, and am taller than I am chubby. Mommy says she needs to fatten me up, but I'm guessing I'll always be a little on the petite side, like her.

Oh, and I got me some BLING!!!

I did pretty well with the piercing. Mostly I just didn't like having to be held still. I tired myself out by squirming so much.

By the time I got home, I was energetic and ready to play.

And i LOVE my newly adorned earlobes!

Laugh With Me

I'm sure you've heard by now--I despise my car seat. Who would seriously want to be strapped down by a 5-point harness, at an awkward, 45 degree angle, while staring at nothing but the back of a seat? Not this baby!

But, Mommy finally found a silly game that not only distracts me from the agony and boredom of being strapped down, but also brings out the most wonderful sound in me.

6 Months = 1/2 a Year

I can't believe it myself. I've been photographed in this rocking chair for 6 months now!!!

A few outtakes from the 6 month photo shoot:
Where'd my bottom lip go?
I'm really not sure why they call me Big Eyes?

Autumn In the Park

My favorite picture-taking pose

So sunny, I need shades.

Yummy finger

Face to face with Daddy

Mommy's human swing got some giggles outta me.

Jersey Girl

I had so much fun celebrating my 6 month birthday in New Jersey with Grandma Marcia, Nana (Great Grandma) and Papa (Great Grandpa.)

We admired the view from the 17th floor,

Crawled around and played some more.

Saw monkeys and donkeys at the zoo,

Blew out candles for me and Daddy, too.

Birthday Do-Over

Daddy is feeling better, so we pretended today was his real birthday--dinner, presents, and quality time together. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!

I learned how to multitask from my Mommy. Here i'm drinking my bottle while holding Daddy's hand. OK, maybe it's not that impressive, but Daddy sure thinks it is!

We took a quick picture before my bedtime, and then Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a romantic dinner together.

Some of the presents from me and Mommy. "Mommy, why is your belly so big?"

Music For Aardvarks

A picture from my weekly music class.
Where's Zadia?

That's No Way To Spend a Birthday

Today is Daddy's birthday. All he wanted was to spend time with his two favorite girls,
but instead he spent it sick in bed.

I sent this note to Daddy at work at 7am.
By 11am, Daddy was home from work and back in bed. Peek-a-boo daddy, I see you!
Daddy, does my smile and my bib make you feel better?

Poppy's Girl

Poppy says I take a lot of energy (and he's right), but he did a
really good job of keeping up with me in Brooklyn this past weekend!

What is that tattooed on your arm Poppy? Z-A-D...does that say Zadia? Coolest Poppy EVER!

The Acrobat

Just yesterday I couldn't hold on and balance, but today I can.
Put a stool in front of me, and watch what i do...

Watch out Mommy and Daddy. You never know where you'll find me next!

Fall and Winter Preview

Who needs a Halloween costume when you have a snowsuit that instantly transforms you into a fuzzy pink bear? (Thanks Nona! I'm sure it'll keep me warm all winter!)

And check out the variety of adorable hats I'll be wearing this season!

Je parle francais.

Yhanks for making this for me Nana. It' a perfect fit!

Not a seedless watermelon.

Pom poms make me happy.

Another hand-made gift from Nana.

Bonjour.

A Raindrop Falls In Brooklyn

What's a baby to do on a gloomy, rainy, soggy weekday? Pack into the car with Mommy, Nona, and Poppy and take a field trip to Ikea! It's only two miles away, it's super kid friendly, and they have Swedish meatballs. I'm a little too young for the Swedish food, but I kept myself pretty busy in other ways.

In the car seat and (surprisingly) not crying.

Such a comfy crocodile on the bed. And at a good price too.
Relaxing in a strange, canopied egg chair. Also sold in blue.
It's a mystery to me how I got in this pile of soccer balls.
It's a hat. No, it's a plush fruit bowl. Actually, it's both.
Practicing for when I'm big enough to eat the Swedish meatballs.
3+1=4 (I get my advanced math skills from Daddy.)
Must. Look. Out. Window.
