The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow

To Mommy's surprise, I chose the Broadway musical, Annie, over Disney on Ice for our mommy-daughter date. Not sure who was more excited, me, or Mommy! We headed out on a late Sunday afternoon (stroller free, for a change!) and took the train to Times Square.

By the time we got off the train, the sun had set and the city streets were decorated with a light dusting of snow. We walked up Broadway hand-in-hand catching snowflakes on our tongues. We braved the massive tourist and holiday crowds at Toys R Us, where I was more excited about getting Christmas gifts for my sister and my friends than I was about picking a present out for myself.

We had just enough time to share a booth and a hamburger before the 6:30 show.

We sat way up in the balcony, me on Mommy's lap, eating M&Ms and applauding enthusiastically.

We LOVED every minute of it, but it was too far past my bedtime for me to make it to the end. Mommy says the whole night was romantic, but I'm not quite sure what that means. I just know it was a magical night for both of us.

Love and magical dates with Mommy,
Zadia Love
