The Last Of Our Weekends Away

Last weekend was our third and final weekend away in a row (at least until November.) We did a night drive down to Virginia. With my car sickness having subsided since I tuned three, Mommy and Daddy really thought they were in the clear. But Aiyana got car sick for the first time ever, setting us back about an hour and a half. We rolled into Uncle Cory's driveway at 1:30am, with two little girls that had no interest in sleeping.

When Mommy and Daddy finally convinced us it was still night time, we ended up being four people to a room with three of us in a twin bed (Daddy, Aiyana, and me), one of us on the floor (Mommy), and two of us still in our clothes (Mommy and Daddy.) We woke up at 6:30am, as usual, all feeling pretty tired. But we don't see our cousins often enough, so lack of sleep was no excuse for us. We were up and ready to play!

Daddy, on the other hand, was pretty wiped out. Aiyana thought he needed company, so she gave him a few babies and made sure to cover them all up.

It was pretty rainy all weekend, so we did hike up our rain boots and made a trip to BJ's to surprise Poppy while at work.

We made a quick run to Old Navy to take advantage of the Columbus Day sale. Although Anthony and I were much more interested in playing hide-and-seen than we were in bargain hunting.

And even though the playgrounds in Virginia are smaller than in Brooklyn, I found new ways to challenge myself.

Hmmm...is this why they call people tree huggers?

And did you know trees make good back scratchers?

No trip to Virginia would be complete without the cousins gathering around Nona's table for some "homework," and all of the cousins crowding into the bathtub.

.
There. Now our trip is complete :)

Another Cutie in the Kitchen

I had my friend, Aisley, over while our big sisters were at school. We had a fun and messy time making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.

And Mommy captured a few funny close-ups of us enjoying the fruits of our labor.

Despite my expression, they tasted delicious.

Over/Under Dressed

We've got one girl who thinks you can never be overdressed.

And another who thinks everything clashes with her diaper (except for bunny ears.)

Playing WIth the Big Boys

We just got back from a weekend in Virginia. But before posting about that, we have two weeks worth of posts to catch you up on, including our weekend in MA with our cousins.

Daddy spent the weekend moving Nana into a new apartment closer to Papa, while Mommy hung back with the little girls and the big boys.

Inseparable. (Aiyana and the bunny, that is.)

Total rock star.

Air hockey isn't just for big kids.

Anything boys can do...

Girls can do stronger.

Future athlete.

Leaf and acorn walk.

Love and fun with the boys,

Upstate Roots

Unfortunate circumstances lead to a quick trip Upstate. Zadia stayed back in Brooklyn with Daddy while Mommy, Uncle Jude, Aunt Kelley and I took a road trip. What could have been a sad weekend (R.I.P Great Uncle Philly) was actually a beautiful few days spent with extended family amongst the colorful backdrop Mommy calls "home."

Oh yeah, and the donuts up here are pretty good too.

How Old Are You Now?

We continue to be incredibly busy, spending our weekends visiting family in upstate NY, Massachusetts, and VA. Even though we were in Massachusetts this past weekend helping Nana and Papa make the move from NJ to MA, we still managed to squeeze in some cake, candles, and beer on Daddy's 37th. Happy Birthday Daddy!

Love and birthday wishes from your girls,

Just Another Day

Just another day at the playground. Sometimes with family, often with friends, and occasionally in costume.

Check out my new moves!

Sailor girl.

Unicorns at the playground. Only in Brooklyn.

Super Zadia to the rescue.

Superhero and her sidekick.

This outfit looks just as cute on Aiyana as it did on me.

Licensed to drive.

Never too big for swings.

Uncle Jude, where are you?

Hide and seek.

Me and the boys, digging in dirt.

Aiyana and Harley.

Love and everyday play,
Zadia Love
