Mommy said we were going to meet Daddy for lunch, and that we'd see some boats while we were there. That sounded good, so we went along for the ride, like we always do. We were all pleasantly surprised by how beautiful a morning it was and how much fun we had.
The benches on the promenade near the World Financial Center seemed to go on forever.
And the Statue of Liberty was just across the way. Zadia asked, "Is that in another country, Mommy?"
We walked out onto the pier and were fascinated by the big boat that was backing into a parking spot right next to us.
It was only 11am, but we had already worked up an appetite, so we sat down for an early lunch.
We thought the pigeons might also be hungry, so we chased them down and offered them some pretzels.
We made the promenade into our own personal playground, complete with a waterfall.
And then Daddy came around the corner, and we gave him the warmest welcome.
To top it all off, we were treated to chocolate and strawberry milkshakes.
Zadia did a little happy dance to express just how great a day it was.
