Mommy and Daddy will celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary next week. They had planned to celebrate somewhere tropical, but decided to stay local instead. They're on a 48-hour staycation in Manhattan, and Zadia and I are back in Brooklyn with Nona and Poppy. Hmmm...I wonder who's having a better time?
Let's see. We had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants with Nona and Poppy.
...followed by ice cream with Uncle Jude.
Then yesterday morning we braved the 100 degree weather and went to the playground.
After which we were soaking wet, so we got ourselves dressed in our favorite outfits. Me in nothing but a diaper and rain boots.
And Zadia in three pieces, all with mismatched patterns (I hear that's really in style now, actually.)
Although I have to admit, lounging by the rooftop pool on a hot day does look pretty fun too.
But as far as we're concerned, not even a pool on a hot day is more fun than a movie night with Nona and Poppy.
Mommy and Daddy, we know you're just over the bridge and we're so glad you're enjoying your time away together. You deserve it! And don't worry about us--we're being very good girls and are having a blast with Nona and Poppy. But we do miss you and can't wait for you to come back. (Oh, and don't forget--you said you'd bring us presents.)
