Right of Passage

Unraveling the toilet paper roll is a right of passage. Emptying the tissue box is another one.

Of course, I can't just empty the box. That's no fun. I also have to tear each tissue into tiny pieces.

And look adorable while doing it.

The Bracelet Challenge

I know that bracelets go on my arms, like this.
I can even put on a few at a time.
Keeping them on is a bit trickier.
Oh I see. If I raise my arms up above my head, they stay on!
So I'll just walk around like this for a while. Problem solved!

Table for Two

Mommy and Daddy are entertained by watching me eat, and they thought you might be too. Pump up the volume, because there's a lot of lip smackin' going on.

And Daddy's right. My Itsy Bitsy Spider choreography does look exactly like my sign for "All Done."

11 Months: Still Just a Baby

Sure I'm growing up right before your very eyes, but I'm still just a baby (for one more month, anyway.)

Potty Seated

I'm far from being potty trained. For now, this princess is just getting used to sitting on the thrown.

Like most things these days, this is fun for a second, and then I'm trying to move on to something else.

Everyone's Turning One

Two of my friends turned ONE this past weekend. I guess that means I'll turn one soon too. Mommy and Daddy, are you ready for this? I didn't think so.

Daddy, I'll need balloons and a grand piano at my birthday party too. Okay?
Fabiola, the birthday girl.
Pretty pooped after a crazy party and a bloody lip.
Next day: Catching some zzz's while everyone parties around me.

Typically Messy

I'm just your typical baby, helping herself to the toilet paper roll.

Hmmm. What could I do with this?

I know! I'll tear it into tiny little pieces.

Oops. There's a square stuck to my foot.

Now that I got it off my foot, let me clean the floor. (I learned this by watching Mommy.)

Mommy's also trying to teach me how to clean up after myself.

But it would be a lot easier if the toilet paper wasn't stuck to my thumb.

Mommy doesn't care how much of a mess I make, as long as I'm happy :)

Hello?

Uh oh. It seems I'm already displaying the behaviors of a teenager. I'm on the phone all the time. That's because  I often mistake the sirens outside our window for Mommy's phone ringing (and on our busy corner, there are a lot of sirens.)

Hello? Is anybody there?

Mommy's Little Helper

Mondays are the only days that we don't have any play dates or classes, which makes it a great day to practice my home-making skills.

I'll guard these pillows while you make the bed, Mommy.
Groceries, conveniently delivered to our door. This is why we love NYC.
What's for dinner? Looks like split peas and sunflowers seeds.
Cleaning is such fun!

Where Toys Rest in Peace

Now that I toddle everywhere, playgrounds have become a whole new level of fun for me.

So this weekend Mommy, Uncle Jude and I strolled all over Brooklyn and stumbled upon the coolest kiddie playground.

Sure, there were swings, but there was also a toy cemetery. This is where kids bring their old, outgrown, and retired toys so they have a second chance at life.

Push toys, ride-on toys, kitchen sets, bouncy seats, musical tables, wagons, you name it.

Perhaps it should be renamed toy HEAVEN?!?!
