Virginia Vacation

Daddy went to Israel last Monday for Uncle Hillel's Bar Mitzvah. And since Mommy was afraid we might miss Daddy too much, she decided to distract us with a trip to Virginia to see our cousins. We head back to Brooklyn tomorrow (already?), but it will have been six awesome days spent with Ysabella and Anthony, which is the longest we've ever spent together.

Gone are the days when Ysabella cried when I looked at her. She and I are now best cousins, we try hard to include Aiyana, and sometimes we even let Anthony in on our
games :)

Week with Nona & Poppy

We had a fun and exhausting time in Brooklyn last week with Nona & Poppy. Let me think back and see if I can remember what we did...

We ate and drank and walked. A lot.

We had Uncle Ahmadu's Mommy, Daddy, and Nigerian cousins over for dinner and a playdate.

We took Nona and Poppy on one of our favorite summer adventures--the ferry to Governor's Island! (And yes, that's silly Poppy lying in the middle of the road.)

And then Nona and Poppy took us on their favorite summer adventure to Coney Island, while Mommy stayed back and had some much needed quiet time.

We must have been pretty good (and pretty tired, see below) because we were rewarded with some yummy cotton candy.

We love having Nona and Poppy squeeze into our little apartment, sleep on our bedroom floor, and accompany us on our Brooklyn adventures. Thanks for spending the week with us!

Where Have We Been?

I'm sure you'll all wondering where we've been. For starters, we've only been in Brooklyn for four weekends out of the past three months. And we had house guests at our apartment for three of those "free" weekends.

We were in East Hampton last weekend, had Nona and Poppy staying with us this week, and had a sleepover at Aunt Kelley's on Saturday. And as if that's not enough, Daddy leaves for Israel tomorrow, and Zadia, Mommy, and I leave for Virginia on Tuesday. That takes us into September, which means school!

But let's start at the beginning...

Last weekend we spent three relaxing days in East Hampton with Nana and Grandma Marcia.

Getting ready for another road trip.

Rock collecting.

The perfect curl.

We had so much fun on our nature walk and feeding the ducks, The swans? Well let's just say they aren't as gentle as they look.

Then it was off to the beach with matching outfits and matching toenails, for what was probably the last time this summer.

On Saturday evening we had a joint birthday celebration dinner for Grandma Marcia and Mommy.

And we had plenty of time to play games and be silly around the house.

By the end of the weekend, we little ones were pretty wiped out.

And while we love being away on mini-vacations, it's always nice to come home to New York City. Especially with a sunset as pretty as this one.

Love and the last weeks of summer,
