I think jeans are too "cold" and Aiyana thinks they're too "tight." I refuse to wear gloves because that means I can't suck my thumb. Layers are uncomfortable for me, and Aiyana is always saying she's "freezing." Neither of us like wearing socks much, and it's always been a challenge to get Aiyana to keep shoes on her feet.
Yet when we had our first snow day, none of that seemed to matter. We happily got bundled up in our bulky snow pants, chunky boots, and itchy accessories and walked the streets of Brooklyn (not the sidewalks, as they weren't shoveled yet), and went to Ollie's house to play. We had snow up our sleeves, chapped skin on our cheeks, and snot running into our mouth, and none of that mattered either.

We were the only stroller on the street that day. Really. |

Downward dog? Nope. Just eating snow off the ground. |
