Pico Rico!

After an early 3am departure from our apartment on Saturday morning, we arrived safe and sound in Puerto Rico (or Pico Rico, as Aiyana calls it.) We're eight adults and five kids, so there are plenty of people to keep us occupied and entertained. Although what more do we need other than sunshine and sand?

We have lots of great pics to share, but unfortunately we have limited internet access, so uploading them will have to wait.

Until then, love and greetings from Aguadilla,

Pocket of Sunshine

We leave for Puerto Rico in three days. Our friend asked if we could bring some sunshine back in our suitcase. Will this suffice?

Snow, Snow Everywhere

We were in Massachusetts this weekend visiting family. The snow started shortly after we got there.

We borrowed some snow pants and had our first real sledding experience in Jadon and Ronen's big back yard.

And then the snow followed us back to Brooklyn and onto our little balcony.

It just goes to show, we Doron girls can have fun no matter how much (or how little) space we have.

Love and fun in big (and small) spaces,

Zadia Love

Good Hygiene

I always cooperate when it's time to brush my teeth. Having Mommy or Daddy help me with the back teeth is an entirely different story, since I like to do everything BY. MY. SELF.

But for now, I'm all smiles.

Two Peas in a Pod

Aiyana and I are always up to something...

Room for both of us.

Hand in hand.

Side by side.

Big sister baths.

Pancake-making partners.

Twice as pink.

Future Food Teacher

I love being in the kitchen. Partially because Mommy spends a lot of time there, and well, I like to be wherever everyone else is. But also because I love to cook. I don't like recipes though; they stifle my creativity. I like to pick ingredients at random and create my own original dishes.

Daddy's cousin, Daria, is staying with us this weekend and I wanted to make dessert for the grown ups. Daria eats gluten free (not sue what that means, exactly), but I know that I had to make a special dessert just for her.

Family Fun

Our five day stay in Virginia left some down time for good old family fun.

Did you know they make bowling shoes this tiny?

Or ice skates for 2-year-olds?

We both took a few laps of the rink, but I could have kept going forever. And I was determined to do it on my own, too.

And what's a trip to Nona and Poppy's without a visit to their favorite winery?

Live and family-friendly fun,

Warm December Day

The day we went into Manhattan to see Santa Claus with our friends was an awesome day. So good that Zadia said she thought Manhattan was more fun that Brooklyn.

We found a bubble-making station.

Explored a new playground.

And walked hand-in-hand with our friends.

All on a 70 degree winter day.

Love and Manhattan with friends,

Snow Day

I think jeans are too "cold" and Aiyana thinks they're too "tight." I refuse to wear gloves because that means I can't suck my thumb. Layers are uncomfortable for me, and Aiyana is always saying she's "freezing." Neither of us like wearing socks much, and it's always been a challenge to get Aiyana to keep shoes on her feet.

Yet when we had our first snow day, none of that seemed to matter. We happily got bundled up in our bulky snow pants, chunky boots, and itchy accessories and walked the streets of Brooklyn (not the sidewalks, as they weren't shoveled yet), and went to Ollie's house to play. We had snow up our sleeves, chapped skin on our cheeks, and snot running into our mouth, and none of that mattered either.

"Mommy, I'm stuck!"

We were the only stroller on the street that day. Really.

There must be a way out of here.

Snowball fight with friends.

If it's white, eat it. If it's brown, put it down.

Snow angels.

Refusing to go home.

Downward dog? Nope. Just eating snow off the ground.

Love and snow day adventures for all,
Zadia Love

Happy 2014

Two of us had nasty colds on New Year's Eve (and two of us have early bedtimes) so the chances of any of us staying up until midnight were pretty slim. But we made sure to ring in the new year at 7pm with a "clothing optional" party, complete with mock-tails and mock-countdown.

We wish you all a very happy 2014, full of pink drinks, sweet treats, fond memories, and of course, LOVE.
