More From VA

More great pics of us enjoying our crazy family in VA.

Where's Anthony?

Our best attempt at getting a nice pic of all four cousins.

Bribery (I mean, reward) for posing for pictures.

A 2nd attempt at getting a nice pic of the cousins together.

"Cheese!"

Practicing saying, "SURPRISE!" to Nona.

It worked! Nona was surprised!

The best picture of all of us us is front of the TV. Go figure.

Most photogenic boy ever.

Refusing to wear shoes.

Empty glass and an airplane.

We live in Brooklyn--we're used to eating around small tables like this.

We all love our Uncle Jude.

Cupcakes for all.

Mmm, mmm, good.

Mommy's girl.

Love and family first,

60 Years of Success

Nona turned the big 6-0 today. Happy birthday Nona!!!

The real celebration was last weekend when the whole family gathered at a Virginia winery for a surprise 60th birthday party. There were old high school friends, new friends, old neighbors, children that Nona used to babysit for (who are no longer children), godchildren, and of course...FAMILY.

Nona, you earned every one of those sixty candles you blew out.

In case you ever forget how amazing you are, just look at yourselves in the lives you created.

Nona, you are the queen of all queens.

Happy 60th Birthday from your little princesses.

Love you to the moon and back,

First Snow

I was delighted last week to wake up and find snow flurries in the air. Of course, my first question was "How many more days until Christmas?"

Somebody else also realy likes getting bundled up.

Field Trip

Tiny Human Academy had their first field trip. We had story time, decorated our own library bags, and we each chose two books to take home.

The great thing about Mommy chaperoning was that Aiyana was able to be a Tiny Human for a day too!

Brooklyn Bridge Adventure

Our NO SCHOOL Mondays have become our mommy/daughter adventure days.

Mommy hadn't walked over the Brooklyn Bridge in years. And well, Aiyana and I are kind of obsessed with the Brooklyn Bridge. Whether seeing it in the horizon, driving over it, reading about it in a book, or seeing a graphic on a t-shirt, Aiyana and I always notice and point out the iconic arches. Aiyana chants "I wanna see the Brooklyn Bridge. I wanna see the Brooklyn Bridge" every time she gets strapped into her car seat.

So when we got lucky with a 70 degree Fall day, Mommy packed up the stroller for a long walk over the bridge. That's 1.8 miles to the bridge, 1.2 miles over the bridge and to City Hall, and another .5 miles past Daddy's office (to say hello!) and to a playground near South Street Seaport.

Oh, and then back again. All while pushing a packed double stroller, chasing two little girls, and dodging speeding cyclists. And people always ask Mommy how she stays fit.

It was a beautiful day, and well worth the long haul. We picked up Ollie, his Mama and sister along the way and had a blast exploring the Brooklyn Bridge, the sculptures at City Hall, and a toddler playground near the Seaport.

Mommy, where will our adventures take us next?

Love and an affair with the Brooklyn Bridge,

Party Girls

These Doron girls really love throwing parties. From the balloons to the cupcakes, we enjoy planning and we especially enjoy celebrating.

Now that Aiyana's party is over, it's time to start planning the next celebration! Is someone turning 60 soon?

Love and little sister celebrations,
Zadia Love
